Working Together For Better Reef And The Future
Reef Check Indonesia (RCFI) is a part of a non-governmental worldwide non-profit organization dedicated to empowering people to save our reefs and oceans. Reef Check open for any community organizations or individuals. Reef Check Foundation Indonesia spawned from a conservation movement that began in 1997, whose volunteers were actively involved in monitored Indonesia's coral reefs. Reef Check Foundation Indonesia was founded in 2005 and is part of Reef Check International, the largest coral conservation network, spanning over 90 countries in the world.
Through collaborative management, network of partnerships, strong science, and public awareness, Reef Check aims to educate public about the value of reef ecosystems and the current crisis in our ocean; to create a global network of volunteer teams who regularly monitor and report on reef health; to facilitate collaboration that produces ecologically sound and economically sustainable solutions in managing coastal and marine resources; and to stimulate local community action to manage the remaining pristine reefs and rehabilitate damaged reefs worldwide.
